The Strength of a Bond.
From a Pacifica studio, by hand, one loop at a time.
I took my first metalsmithing class to make my own wedding bands.
Not because I wanted to save money. Not because I was looking for a hobby. But because I wanted something that couldn't be bought—only made.
A wedding band is a symbol of forever. I couldn't reconcile that idea with visible seams, weak joints, or shortcuts hidden beneath the surface.
So I began searching for another way.
I discovered fusion: a technique that joins metal through heat alone, allowing separate pieces to become one seamless form. What began as a personal project soon became an obsession. I fell in love with the process, the patience it required, and the quiet transformation that occurred at the torch.
That first ring taught me something unexpected:
The strongest bonds are forged, not assembled.
Where Engineering Meets Art
Before founding LoveGem Studio, I worked as a mechanical engineer specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable systems design.
Engineering taught me to ask different questions:
What is the strongest connection?
What creates the least waste?
How can something be designed to endure?
Those same questions shape every piece I make today.
I work exclusively with recycled Argentium® 940 silver—a bright, hypoallergenic alloy that resists tarnish and allows me to use a rare solderless fusion technique. Each loop is individually formed by hand and brought to its precise melting point, creating a seamless bond without visible joints or traditional solder.
Because the metal flows naturally under heat, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Every curve carries the evidence of the maker's hand.
Modern Heirlooms, Forged on the California Coast
LoveGem Studio is based in Pacifica, California, where fog drifts across coastal bluffs and the Pacific stretches endlessly beyond my studio window.
Inspired by the rhythms of the coast and the enduring beauty of meaningful objects, I create modern heirlooms designed to witness everyday life—the celebrations, the transitions, the quiet moments in between.
Each piece is handcrafted in small batches using recycled precious metals and thoughtfully chosen gemstones. Nothing is mass produced. Nothing is outsourced.
Just fire, silver, and intention.
Whether it marks a milestone, honors a relationship, or simply reminds you of your own resilience, I hope your jewelry becomes part of your story.
Because the things we treasure most aren't defined by perfection.
They are defined by the love they carry.
Wear your love, unbroken.
